Email: evan@stupidold.com.au
Evan is a director, photographer and video producer at Stupid Old Studios. He founded Stupid Old Studios with a team of like-minded creatives, primarily servicing the Melbourne comedy scene with a focus on high quality video content for broadcast and the web.
Andy Matthews (Producer / Writer / Performer)
An emerging comedian, Andy regularly writes and performs stand-up and sketch shows at MICF and Fringe festivals and took out third place in Australia’s biggest open mic comedy competition, RAW Comedy, in 2013. He also started working as a writer for Channel 10’s The Project that year. With a background in science, engineering and education, Andy brings a misguided logic to comedy.
Alasdair Tremblay-Birchall (Writer / Performer)
Al is a comedy writer, performer and director. He currently writes for Channel TEN’s The Project and Shaun Micallef's Mad as Hell. Al has also been a Melbourne stand up and sketch comedian for the past 5 years. He does an idea generating podcast called Two in the Think Tank with Andy Matthews and is also a founding member of sketch group Stupid Old Man and its sister production company Stupid Old Studios. Alasdair is a gigantic comedy nerd and can think of nothing better to do with his time than creating and consuming the stuff.
Bec Petraitis (Writer / Performer)
Bec is a media all-rounder working at Stupid Old Studios. She studied Journalism at Monash University and is currently Content Development Coordinator for SYN Media, Australia's largest youth media organisation. Through her countless hours of radio and television experience she has developed her audio and video production skills. As a founding member of the Stupid Old Studios team, she is our lead sound recordist and 2nd camera operator. She also contributes as a photographer, writer and performer, and oversees our social media outlets.
Matt Stewart (Writer / Performer)
Matt studied Media and Communication at Monash University and is currently forgetting everything he learnt. Matt has racked up many hours of community radio and television experience, gaining writing, producing and presenting skills along the way. As a founding member of Stupid Old Studios, Matt enjoys getting involved in all facets of the business- and your business- as he is very nosey. He likes to think that while he speaks slowly, he thinks fast, but I saw him thinking that thought, and it took him forever.
